This movie not only had beautiful cinematography but the characters' stories really left an impression on me. This documentary focuses on the lives of young adults in a refugee camp called Patongo in war-torn northern Uganda. The characters relate their experiences with violence in their villages (most have lost one or both parents and other family members) but also share the joy they find in playing music and dancing. At the end of the movie, the children perform at the National Music Festival to thousands of attendees. The joy on the childrens' faces when they perform and the energy of their performances communicate the healing power that music has for them.
